One of the most popular ways to personalize stainless steel tumblers is with two-part epoxy and glitter. Makers transform these tumblers into glossy, sparkly masterpieces using a tumbler turner . After sanding the tumbler’s surface, makers apply a base color before adding layers of epoxy and glitter to create unique designs.

Stainless steel tumblers are best for epoxy, because epoxy grips and adheres really well to stainless steel. However, in order to be prepared for epoxy, the stainless steel must be sanded with 200-400 grit sandpaper. The sanding process is what ensures that your epoxy will bind to the tumbler. We also offer a few select sizes in pre-sanded stainless steel, these were made for crafters who want to speed up their workflow.  

Additionally, since stainless steel tumblers have not been coated with powder coating or sublimation surface coatings, they are generally offered at more affordable prices.
