About MakerFlo Sales Tax Exemption
MakerFlo can only offer sales tax exemption to qualifying customers. We cannot refund taxes on orders placed before your sales tax exemption has been approved. For questions about required forms contact your state or tax advisor -- MakerFlo does not provide tax advice.
Who qualifies for Sales Tax Exemption?
Sales tax exemption is available only if you purchase items solely for resale and will collect sales tax when you sell the finished product.
You do not qualify if items are purchased for:
- Personal use
- Free giveaways or promotions
- Internal business use
- Samples or demos
Which form do I need to complete the application?
You will need to download and complete the Resale Certificate for the state in which you hold a valid sales tax permit or license. If your state is listed, download and complete the form required by your state. Only use the Multi-State form if the state in which you hold your sales tax permit or license is not listed.
How do I obtain a Sales Tax permit or license?
To obtain a permit or license to collect sales tax for your resale items you must contact your state's department of revenue or tax office.
